Ans. The old man treated the thief very kindly who was hiding on the roof of his house, this kindness changed the life of the thief. Since that day he gave up his evil ways. Ans. The gentleman treated the thief in the same way as he treated all other guests. He served food to him with great courtesy and when he rose to leave, the gentleman gave him a gift and a bag of coins.

Ans. The stranger came close to the old gentleman and told him quietly that he was the one whom he had helped many years ago. He thanked him for the food and kind treatment he had received there.

Ans. The old gentleman said these to the stranger. This statement simplifies that the old gentleman was much satisfied with the progress and deeds of the kindness of the stranger.
6. What changes come in the life of the thief after getting a warm welcome from the gentleman?
Ans. After getting a warm welcome instead of punishment from the old gentleman, the thief gave up his evil ways and tried to earn his living by honest work. He became rich and did many deeds of kindness for others.
