Road Safety:-
Road Safety is a topic in which we talk about Safe Driving, Drunken Driving, Car Pooling, Importance of Traffic Lights, etc.
Safe Driving-
safe driving means a safe journey. Safe driving keeps the driver’s life safe. Reckless driving can be fatal for the driver. Life is valuable so we must protect and care for it. We must love our life. Reckless driving can directly take us into the mouth of death. As we know about the fact that after an accident, life has become a burden for us. We also know, we feel like a handicapped person, and we have to depend on others for our basic needs. We should follow these traffic rules to keep our life safe, during driving. We should use a seat belt or helmet during driving. We should not overtake other vehicles. We should not cross the speed limit. We should follow the traffic signals. We should not drink and drive. By following these rules, we can keep safe our life.
Drunken Driving-
Drunken driving can take us directly into the mouth of death. It is not good for a driver. We know the truth that after drinking, a driver is not in control of himself/herself. In this situation, he/she is responsible for any kind of accident. A driver is also responsible for others’ life. According to the statistics of the traffic department, most of the accidents are caused by drunken driving. Drunken driving is also responsible for the nation’s property. A death from drunken driving does not affect only the victim but it affects everyone around him. So in short, drunken driving is harmful to everyone.
Car Pooling-
Car Pooling (also known as car-sharing, ride-sharing, and lift-sharing) is the sharing of cars so that more than one person travels in a car. By having more people using one vehicle, car pooling reduces each person’s travel costs such as fuel cost, tolls, and It is an environment-friendly and sustainable way to travel. Sharing journeys reduce carbon emissions, traffic congestion on the roads, and the need for parking spaces. Authorities often encourage car pooling, especially during high pollution periods and high fuel prices.
Importance of Traffic Lights-
Traffic lights play an important role during driving. Traffic lights are not taken seriously by some drivers. We often see people jumping the red light and thus putting their lives and the lives of others at risk. Ignoring the red light is dangerous as it may cause a fatal accident. Here, I would Like to clarify to those who do not know the meaning of lights. The red light means you have to stop completely. The yellow light means that you should be ready to stop or move. The Green light means ‘move ahead’. It is safer to move when the traffic light turns green. If we ignore the traffic signals, we can be punished.
